The success of this year’s environmental education project “Knowing Lake Bolsena” (open to all primary schools in the lake district) was celebrated on June 27 with an event at the San Francesco Theatre in Bolsena.
The teachers responsible for teaching the project demonstrated it to the large audience and prizes were awarded to the competition winners. To the first classes, awards were presented for the three best drawings, to the second classes for the three best videos and to the third for the three best themes.

The first environmental education project concerning Lake Bolsena was conceived in the 1990s by the Lake Bolsena Association President Piero Bruni. In this academic year, the teaching program has seen the participation of more than 800 pupils of twelve municipalities around the lake and for the first time, thanks to the collaboration of the University of Tuscia, the program has included a refresher course for teachers.
