This year there are numerous associations, including ours, giving life to “Lake Bolsena, a lake to love”, the 3rd edition of Environment Days.

The program revolves around the date of June 5, the day dedicated to the environment since 1972 at the request of the UN. It takes place in various locations around the lake, where citizens’ associations work to safeguard our territory. This year, with various public meetings planned, particular emphasis is placed on the theme of eco-sustainable agriculture, respectful of the balance of nature and the health of all, promoting economic development in harmony with the environmental and cultural heritage of our territory.

Activities take place from May 25th to June 16th, in the various lake communities.

  4.00 pm – bilingual conference and exhibition from the ‘Knowing Lake Bolsena’ educational project “Discover Lake Bolsena”
• 1 June, Capodimonte, at ‘La Bella Verde’ (S.S. Verentana 17km)
  10.00 am – organic market from the farm community
  12.00 – presentation of Saviana Delfino Parodi’s book Integral Permaculture Manual
• 2 June, Bolsena, Cadorna lakefront
  9.30 am – diving to collect waste from the lake bottom
• 5 June, Bolsena, Guadetto area
  5.00 pm – beach cleaning and evening picnic
• 7 June, San Lorenzo Nuovo, Council Chamber
  5.00 pm – convention “The organic cultivation of potatoes in Tuscia”, with the participation of producers, agri-food researchers and administrators
• 8 June, beach between Marta and Montefiascone
  10.00 am – beach cleaning followed by … a surprise
• 8 June, Marta, La Rimessa dei Pescatori (Fishermen’s hut)
  3.00 pm – children’s entertainment, sustainable market, information stands on the good work and activities of the lake associations
  6.00pm – themed meeting “Olive cultivation: a resource of our territory”
